On March 24, 2020, a patient being treated at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton for COVID-19 passed away. On behalf of all of us at St. Joe’s, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to our patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.

The staff and physicians at St. Joe’s are highly trained in treating patients with infectious diseases. We have spent the past many weeks and months preparing for COVID-19 and continue to take strong measures to protect our patients, our healthcare workers and the community. I want to thank our staff and physicians for continuing to provide compassionate care to our patients.

These are difficult times for our community and country as we all try to come to terms with this rapidly changing situation. We all have a role to play.  As a hospital, we would like to encourage our community to listen to our provincial and federal healthcare leaders and do everything we can to reduce the spread of infection.
