Monthly feature: Ms. Elizabeth Giacinti and Dr. Alistair Ingram, 2019 Mission Legacy Award winners
Late November we celebrated the 2019 Mission Legacy Award ceremony at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. The Mission Legacy Award recognizes key individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to contribute to the legacy and mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton, St. Joseph's Health System, St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton and its Foundation.
Each month we will feature a few of the award recipients to share a bit more about how they have made meaningful contributions throughout their time with our health care organization.
This month we feature
|
Ms. Elizabeth Giacinti: As a Registered Nurse at the Brantford Hemodialysis Unit, Elizabeth Giacinti delivers exceptional patient care. What may go unnoticed is the work she does for patients in her off hours. Each September there is a Kidney Walk, each December there is a Christmas Party, and in the summer a few lucky patients attend a summer camp, all because of Elizabeth’s inspiring drive and boundless energy. This dedication is a fitting example of living the legacy. |
Dr. Alistair Ingram: It is with a deeply rooted sense of service that Dr. Alistair Ingram has approached his career at St. Joseph’s. As a clinician, he develops a rapport with patients, getting to know them as people earning both their respect and trust. As Chief of Medicine he is a strong advocate for a culture that promotes excellence and enquiry. Alistair leads by example and his actions are a true reflection of St. Joseph’s Mission and Values. |
