Top three things to know
- Smoking is prohibited anywhere on St. Joe's property
Under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, all Ontario hospital indoor and outdoor grounds must be completely smoke-free. Smoking is prohibited at all St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton Campuses, including gardens, parking lots, in parked cars on our sites. This also includes St. Joe's off-site programs and services throughout the province. If you are smoking on St. Joe's property you will be reported and fined. If you are concerned about smoking on St. Joe's property please contact Security Services at your site.
- Dispose of cigarette litter appropriately
Smoking receptacles are designed to capture and trap ash as well as cigarette litter. Properly disposing of cigarette litter, keeps St. Joe's grounds clean and keeps the air clear. - There is support
