Great things are happening at St. Joe's!
Great things happening at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, starting with the insertion of a 12-page insert about our new West 5th Campus in the Hamilton Spectator. If you didn't see the insert, you can check it out on the Spec’s website, where it will stay archived for the next 6 months.
The timing of these profiles coincides with the occupancy of our outpatient medical and mental health clinics into the new West 5th Campus for good reason: for more than a century, West 5th has provided and been known exclusively as a site for mental health and addiction care. Today, the campus looks very different – providing advanced diagnostics, diabetes education and care, bariatric care and soon a community medical clinic. It’s our responsibility to ensure that our patients and community are aware of these changes – not only from a wayfinding and orientation perspective, but also so that we can be a leading voice to challenge the stigma that so often accompanies perceptions and pre-conceived assumptions about mental health and addiction care.
To further help spread this message, a series of television commercials will air on CHCH TV for the next three months, and digital advertising will continue on the Spec’s website during that same time frame. You can check out the TV commercials on our YouTube channel, and also on the Spec’s website! Television advertising is not a normal method of communication for St. Joe’s, and has been made possible in order to promote the integrated health care programming at West 5th through funds designated to the redevelopment project specifically for this purpose.
We are immensely proud to showcase the great work happening at St. Joe’s, and thank you for not only taking the time to speak to reporters and connect with us about the ‘good news’ happening in your programs and services, but also for sharing these features within your own networks.
