The Mark Preece Family House

St. Joseph’s Healthcare is pleased to recommend The Mark Preece Family House as an option for reasonably priced accommodation in the Hamilton area while loved ones are in hospital.

The Mark Preece Family House opened its doors to local families in April 2011 and has a total of 24 spacious rooms.  Located at 191 Barton Street East, it occupies the former Smart Turner Building. The stone building was built in the 1870s and served as a malt house and later a machine shop, manufacturing engines, and boilers.

The goal of this organization is to provide a welcoming and affordable place for patient’s families to stay near their bedside and decrease stress in an already challenging situation.
