St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton dedicated to being accessible and compliant in all accessibility legislation, like the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Ontario hospitals must meet accessibility standards to identify, remove and prevent barriers.
In this section of our website (see left hand listing under 'Accessibility') we have provided more information about standards and training, communication and document availability, and in hospital accessibility services.
If you have any concerns or feedback about accessibility at St. Joe's, please contact our Patient Relations team. St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton also has an Accessibility Committee, where stakeholders from across our organization meet at intervals to help create a welcoming, barrier-free environment for patients, staff and the community.
