After an extensive search process, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Srinivasan Harish has accepted the position of Chief of Diagnostic Imaging effective September 1^st, 2024, pending board approval.

Dr. Harish completed his medical degree at Madras Medical College in India and pursued his Radiology residency training at the University of Cambridge in the U.K. He further specialized with a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at McMaster University. Since 2006, he has served as a staff radiologist at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, where he has developed clinical expertise in musculoskeletal and Head & Neck imaging. 

In September 2017, Dr. Harish was appointed Deputy Chief of Diagnostic Imaging at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. He also held the position of Department Education Coordinator in the Radiology Department at McMaster University from 2010 to 2013. Since 2011, he has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Imaging at McMaster University.

Academically, Dr. Harish has contributed to over 50 publications and is recognized as an invited speaker and author. His educational posters have garnered awards at international conferences. In 2013, he was honored with the Academic Radiologist of the Year award by the McMaster Radiology Department. His commitment to education is evident through his involvement in residency and fellowship programs, where he enhanced training opportunities for trainees and received multiple teaching accolades, including the Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award.

Dr. Harish is highly regarded for his clinical expertise and collegiality, bringing a wealth of clinical experience to his practice. His collaborative relationships have been recognized by the McMaster Orthopedic Department, which awarded him the MacOrtho Unsung Hero Award. He played a pivotal role in implementing a subspecialty practice model in Diagnostic Imaging at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, addressing the needs of both patients and trainees.

His contributions have not only advanced our diagnostic capabilities but have also profoundly impacted patient outcomes. Dr. Boylan’s tenure is marked by his commitment to excellence, and his influence will be felt for years to come.
