St. Joe's 2023 New Year Baby
Weighing a healthy 6 pounds and 8 ounces, Scarlett was the first baby of 2023 to be born at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton at 3:09 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2023. Proud parents and Hamilton residents Skye and Cody Lynch were thrilled to ring in the New Year with the recent addition to their family – a beautiful baby girl, and sister for big brother Noah, age 2.
“We just wanted a healthy baby, and are happy this little girl completes our family,” said Skye and Cody.
True to the Hospital’s time-honoured tradition, the New Year’s Baby and Family were welcomed with a gift basket full of baby care items and toys courtesy of Toys ‘R’ Us on Upper Wentworth, the Hospital’s Gift Shop, and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation.
Every year, more than 3,600 babies just like Scarlett born here. The care delivered by our obstetricians, nurses, and midwives in St. Joe’s Birthing Unit is truly exceptional, but if you look around the unit at our Hospital, you’ll see that it’s in need of a little TLC.
That’s why our Foundation is inviting the community to donate to ensure St. Joe’s can continue to offer new families and babies the best start possible in a Birthing Unit that was built just for them. Consider starting this New Year with a new gift to help us refresh and renew our labour and delivery rooms to create a new space that reflects the exceptional care that our families receive here at St. Joe’s: http://stjoesfoundation.ca/LDRenewal
