Ms. Carrie Fletcher announced as new VP People, Culture and Diversity at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton
St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton is pleased to announce that Ms. Carrie Fletcher will be joining our St. Joe’s team as Vice President of People,
Culture and Diversity, effective July 18, 2022.
Ms. Fletcher is a values-based leader with a focus on people and relationship-building. She has more than two decades of diverse clinical and business transformation experience, serving in both acute and mental health care organizations. In her current executive leadership role, she has focused on strengthening labour relations, championed and supported innovative and successful recruitment work, staff health, safety and wellness initiatives, and anti-violence and anti-discrimination work.
Ms. Fletcher is currently Vice President, People & Experience at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), where she has focused on improving the experience of the people working there, supporting improved health and safety of healthcare workers through initiatives such as a Workplace Violence Prevention committee, and serving as the executive lead for staff-led anti-racism, anti-oppression and anti-Black racism groups. She jointly led innovative and successful recruitment work to address clinical staff shortages, and cultivated positive labour relations through strong relationships and communication.
Ms. Fletcher’s past roles encompass frontline clinical care in cardiac diagnostics and cardiac rehab, primary care administration, and clinical application project management. Previous to her current role, Carrie led the Health Information Management & Enterprise Project Management Office at CAMH and was the Executive Director of the Village Family Health Team, a CAMH partner. She has also worked as a Certified Clinical Kinesiologist at Trillium Health Centre’s Regional Cardiac Rehab Program, and in Cardiovascular Rehab at Credit Valley Hospital.
Ms. Fletcher earned a BSc Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, an MHSc Health Administration from the University of Toronto, and a certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management from the Rotman School of Management, at the University of Toronto.
