St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton declares outbreak on CTU Central at Charlton Campus
In consultation with Hamilton Public Health Services, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton has declared an outbreak of COVID-19 on CTU Central unit at its Charlton Campus after two patients and two staff members tested positive for the virus.
The patients who tested positive are now in precautions and the staff members are isolating at home. Infection Prevention & Control outbreak measures have been put in place. Contact tracing is taking place and all patients and staff within the unit are being tested for COVID-19. The unit is closed to admissions and transfers.
Hamilton Public Health and St. Joe’s Infection Prevention & Control and Occupational Health & Safety teams are monitoring the situation closely.
