Monthly feature: Dr. Bryan Alton and Ms. Erin O’Connell 2020 Mission Legacy Award winners
Late November we celebrated the 2020 Mission Legacy Award ceremony at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. The Mission Legacy Award recognizes key individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to contribute to the legacy and mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton, St. Joseph's Health System, St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton and its Foundation.
Each month we will feature a few of the award recipients to share a bit more about how they have made meaningful contributions throughout their time with our health care organization.
This month we feature Dr. Bryan Alton, Medical Director, Complex Care and Ms. Erin O’Connell, Manager, Forensic Psychiatry Program at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.
Dr. Bryan Alton: Dr. Bryan Alton has served St. Joseph’s Complex Care Program for over three decades. Through open, honest and compassionate care, Dr. Alton fosters interprofessional collaboration, drives quality, demonstrates excellence in teaching, and embraces innovation and expansion of programs. His commitment to providing the best experience for his patients, staff, and colleagues further exemplifies his dedication to living out the Mission.
Ms. Erin O’Connell: Erin O’Connell has focused her career on caring for those stigmatized by mental illness. Like the Sisters of St. Joseph, Erin views all patients as worthy of respect, dignity and excellent care.
