Monthly feature: The 3 Wishes Team and Ben De Rubeis 2020, 2020 Mission Legacy Award winners
Late November we celebrated the 2020 Mission Legacy Award ceremony at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. The Mission Legacy Award recognizes key individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to contribute to the legacy and mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton, St. Joseph's Health System, St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton and its Foundation.
Each month we will feature a few of the award recipients to share a bit more about how they have made meaningful contributions throughout their time with our health care organization.
This month we feature the 3 Wishes Project Team and Ben De Rubeis, Board Member at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.
The 3 Wishes Project Team: The 3 Wishes Project team has worked tirelessly in the ICU, the MS-CCU, on the COVID unit and other medical wards to ensure that patients and their loved ones are able to have comfort and dignity during their final moments. The project is designed to celebrate the patient’s life while supporting those left behind in grief. This team has also worked to support the needs of our healthcare providers in caring for patients during end of life in this unprecedented and difficult time.

He has been an active member of several Board Committees, and the Chair of the Foundation Board of Directors. Ben has devoted countless hours through events and philanthropy to support the hospital, and further the mission and legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph. He is truly a blessing to St. Joe’s and our community.
