St. Joe's Emergency Department training, learning, saving
St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH) Emergency Physicians and members of the Hamilton Paramedic Service (HPS) conducted a successful simulation April 16.
The simulation involved transferring a presumed COVID-19 “patient” in critical condition from the Urgent Care Centre at the King Campus in Stoney Creek to the Charlton Campus Emergency Department in downtown Hamilton.
Two SJHH emergency physicians, more than 10 registered nurses and respiratory therapists, and three paramedics worked together to deliver direct patient care for a successful simulation.
