St. Joe’s researchers help bring new video game to life
Dr. Suzanne Archie’s research focuses on early intervention for patients with psychosis, especially youth and adolescents.
While she conducts traditional research studies, she’s also involved with knowledge translation efforts that use technology to reach young adults.
Dr. Archie has worked closely with a Hamilton video game studio in their development of Debris – a video game that intends to show players an accurate portrayal of psychosis and its associated symptoms.
Through the medium of video games, she can translate information about psychosis to young adults by using a platform that speaks to them.
The game is described as an atmospheric single-player/co-op adventure game by the developer, Moonray Studios.
