2016 Long Service Employee Awards
Celebrating remarkable dedication and achievement at St. Joe’s!
Congratulations to over 208 employees who were invited to a reception at Carmen’s Banquet Centre to celebrate their remarkable achievement. The event included staff members who reached long service milestones of 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.
President Dr. David Higgins expressed how thankful and grateful he was for such dedicated individuals who have devoted their careers to an organization that serves people in need and how important each and every service is that we provide to our community.
“Together we are making a positive difference in patient care and I am overwhelmed by the dedication of our people, said Dr. Higgins, President. “We have over 208 people celebrating long service and this is an incredible achievement and a true testament to the integrity of your work and an accomplishment that you should all be very proud of. Congratulations to you all!”
Peter Tice, Chair, St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton Joint Boards of Governors, also attended the event and expressed his thanks for being part of such a dedicated and hard working group of people at St. Joe’s.
As the old saying goes, an organization is only as good as the people who work in it – this is the reason why all these years later St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton remains a national leader in outstanding patient care and innovative medical and surgical treatments. At this career milestone, we honor each recipient for the part they play in maintaining our performance standards and their commitment to excellence in patient care.
No matter how long your length of service, all of our staff are essential to our Hospital, however it is still important to take a moment to recognize those employees that have been with us for many years and to take the opportunity to publicly thank them for all of their hard work, loyalty, dedication and contribution to the success of St. Joe’s over their years with us.
A very special recognition to Jean Maragno who has dedicated 45 years of service – congratulations Jean!
