Hope for Men support group celebrates 10 years in Hamilton
Hope for Men, a local support group for male survivors of childhood sexual abuse, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Hamilton. The group was founded by fellow survivor Glenn Allan and has extended to St. Catherines with plans for a Brantford branch underway. St. Joseph’s manager of addiction services Debbie Bang says the group is a “good fit” for the centre because traumatic events including sexual abuse are often an underlying issue in addiction.
Meetings are held on Monday night’s at St. Joseph’s Men's Withdrawal Management Centre located at 595 Main St E. with the support of St. Joe’s staff.
