Should you get your flu vaccination this year? The answer is yes! “Getting the flu vaccination will help protect everyone around you from the potential of getting influenza,” states Dr. Maureen Cividino, Occupational Health Physician, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. “Influenza can cause serious illness in healthy individuals and complications including pneumonia and death in infants, small children, the elderly and those with compromised immune systems.”
St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton is currently providing staff, physicians, learners and volunteers with the opportunity to get their flu vaccination at each of our three Campuses. St. Joe’s encourages everyone in our community to do their part in preventing the flu.
Beginning the week of October 27th, the Retail Pharmacies located at both Charlton Campus and King Campus will be providing flu vaccinations to the general public (over the age of 5), visitors and family members of staff. The flu vaccination will be available from Monday to Friday, no appointment necessary so stop by and get your flu vaccination at St. Joe's.
