Seniors are the fastest growing faction of the population in need of health care services in Ontario. In order to meet the growing challenge of our aging population, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton has identified senior care services as a key priority. We are committed to enhancing our seniors’ programs with particular emphasis placed on education programs and research.

With a senior-focused mindset we are dedicated to strengthening the care of older adults by providing senior care in an environment that optimizes wellness. We recognize that improving the effectiveness of continuum of care transitions, as well as providing programs that optimize and help maintain cognitive function are essential to sustaining seniors’ health and quality of life.

Dedicating our efforts to enhancing the programs offered to seniors provides our older patients with the vital transitional services they require to maintain optimum health and improve their capacity to live independently for as long as possible.
