Imaging Library
The Diagnostic Imaging Library manages patient records for all procedures performed within Diagnostic Imaging including General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, Mammography and Special Procedures.
When your procedure is completed, the images are stored in the hospital computer system referred to as PACS. Our radiologists provide a report using voice recognition software after examining the images. Reports are distributed to your doctor from the hospital fax system. In addition, many physicians have the capability to view the hospital images and reports from their own office.

- Once your records are ready to view, you’ll receive an email from PocketHealth

There is a fee at the time of enrolment which includes permanent access to all previous imaging as well as any new exams.

Pocket Health for Physicians & Providers
Simple, secure and timely access to patient imaging records for physicians with Pocket Health.
St Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton is using the image sharing system called PocketHealth Provider Sharing. This allows the hospital to share imaging records more rapidly with physicians—free of charge.
Requesting and viewing imaging records
The process for requesting images is still the same. Medical facilities, physician offices, physiotherapy and chiropractic offices are asked to fax requests to 905-521-6063.
We no longer provide diagnostic images on CDs. Instead, we will provide a document called an Access Page.
Access Page
The Access Page will contain instructions on how to view and import the images through a secure web address (URL). It can be provided to the patient or faxed directly to your office.
Viewing and importing images
Once you have received the Access Page, viewing and importing images is simple. Just enter the secure web address (URL) and follow the prompts. Then view or import the included imaging in full diagnostic quality.
You do not need to download software, set up an account or password.
