SJHH / Coronavirus/ COVID Care Clinic

COVID Care Clinic

The COVID Care Clinic is a new clinic intended to complement the care provided by the family doctor’s office or those who are not connected to a family doctor’s office, and to support a patient’s recovery at home. This will help to provide individuals in our community with timely care at the right place.

The Hamilton Region’s COVID Care Clinic is located at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s (SJHH) Charlton site. It is a collaborative effort of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH), Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) and Hamilton Family Medicine (HFAM).

The COVID Care Clinic is for adults 18 years and older who are experiencing mild-to-moderate COVID symptoms consisting of:

  • Persistent fever
  • Worsening chest pain
  • Worsening shortness of breath
  • Persistent/ongoing diarrhea
  • Inability to do self-care
  • Have worsening of pre-existing health conditions

- That require an in-person assessment due to worsening symptoms, but do not require care in the Emergency Department

In emergency situations, you should go to the nearest emergency department or call 9-1-1.

The COVID Care Clinic is located at the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s Charlton Campus, 50 Charlton Avenue East, Hamilton.

How can I get an appointment to the COVID Care Clinic?

Appointments are by referral only from Primary Physicians, Virtual Urgent Care physicians (UrgentCareOntario.ca), Hamilton COVID Assessment Centres (Hamilton.ca/COVIDtesting).
