Four minutes ago, the Request for Proposals officially closed!
It would have been pretty crazy at Infrastructure Ontario's offices. They'd have a countdown clock which reps from each team sync their watches to, and then they ensure the clocks at their offices are in sync as well. They'd be on the phone up to the last minute checking and making adjustments to their bids and then would officially submit them by 1:59 pm.
This is a huge step in the project. All three bids have now been received, and the evaluation will begin. Over the summer, teams will review and "grade" each bid, leading up to the selection of the preferred proponent in September.
We are on time and on schedule!
