We will see signs of construction on the campus soon, with enabling works scheduled to kick off in late June/early July. Two projects are involved - renovating Beckfield into offices, and site services work to prepare gas, hydro and water lines for main construction. We'll also have temporary parking constructed to make up for parking that will be lost during construction of the new campus.
MHPM Project Managers have been selected to lead the project for us. The contractor will be selected in late June; once that is done, we expect a short turnaround to construction starting.
We'll be doing things like community mailings, staff updates, etc. to ensure all SJHH staff, physicians, patients, family members, area residents are aware of the work and impacts.
There will be inconveniences at times - an excellent way to get our feet wet before we start builiding our brand new campus!
