What you need to know before visiting the hospital

Visitor Information

We thank our patients and visitors for adhering to St. Joe's Infection Prevention And Control policy throughout the pandemic. We appreciate your patience and collaborative partnership in keeping our patients and staff safe. Visitors, families and patients are encouraged to mask whenever possible, click here for more details.

Visitors with COVID-19 in last 10 days not permitted entry to hospital

A reminder that visitors, essential caregivers, and support people are not permitted to enter the hospital if they’ve had COVID-19 symptoms or a positive COVID-19 test in the last 10 days.

Visitors must complete the self-assessment before entering the hospital. Those who do not pass the self-assessment are asked to refrain from visiting the hospital for 10 days from onset of symptoms/positive COVID test.

Visitor Policy

  • Unlimited number of visitors for inpatients. Limit of two at the bedside at one time.
  • One accompaniment per patient visiting our outpatient clinics.
  • Self-screening for patients, visitors, families and caregivers. This means anyone entering the hospital will not be required to check in with screeners, but you must self-assess.
  • Are you having your baby at St. Joe's, click here to learn more for specific details.
