Bank Machines

CHARLTON CAMPUS

There are two bank machines available within the Charlton Campus. One bank machine is located in the main lobby down from the Information Desk beside the Pharmacy. 
The other is located in the Fontbonne Building beside the revolving exit doors.

KING CAMPUS

There is one bank machine available on the second floor outside the Cafeteria within the King Campus.

WEST 5TH CAMPUS

There is one bank machine available at the Outpatient Entrance beside the elevators on Level 0.

Cellular Telephones

Cellular phones and personal digital assets (PDA’s) may be used in the main hospital areas, lobby, cafeteria, business offices and non-clinical support areas. Out of sensitivity to our patients and their loved ones, we kindly ask that you refrain from the use of cellular phones in clinical areas such as patient floors, patient rooms, waiting areas and nursing stations.

Internet Access

CHARLTON CAMPUS

Patient and visitor internet access is available for those with devices having wireless capability. Please call call ICT at at (905)522-1155 Ext.33040 to obtain a login user and password. 

WEST 5TH CAMPUS

Please go to the Wayfinders Desk on Level 0 closest to the Outpatient Entrance to obtain a login user name and password for Wi-Fi access from our volunteers. Or call ICT at at (905)522-1155 Ext.33040.

Telephone Services

Patients are offered the use of a telephone while in hospital for a fee that can be paid by cash, VISA or personal cheque. The charge will cover the cost of the local telephone service for up to 30 days. To make long distance calls, patients will have to use a calling card, place a collect call or bill the call to home.

To arrange for telephone service, visit the cashier’s office located in the main lobby, Sister Mary Grace Wing of the Charlton Campus between 8:15 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holidays. After office hours, telephone service can be arranged at the Switchboard Office, located in the window across from the Main Information Desk. Friends and relatives can contact inpatients by calling 905-522-1155 and then entering the extension on their touch- tone phone. This allows calls to bypass the Switchboard.

Televisions

There are television sets beside most hospital beds. To receive full cable service, contact Hospitality Network at 905-522-1155 ext. 33458. Be prepared to leave a message with the patient’s name, room number and telephone extension. A daily rental fee is charged and can be paid by cash, Visa or MasterCard before the cable is connected. Daily, weekly and long-term rates are available. Customer service representatives are available from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily.

Hairdressing Services

Patients can arrange hairdressing services by calling Lorenzo’s School of Hair Design at 905-527-2766. Patients must pay cash or cheque as soon as the service is complete. When making an appointment please include the patient’s name, room number, hospital unit and the Campus at which the patient is located.

WEST 5TH CAMPUS

Patients can arrange hairdressing services through our in-house salon, Studio 100. Studio 100 is located on Level 2 in the Galleria and operates from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on an alternating schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday one week; Tuesday, Wednesday the following week. 

Information Desks

CHARLTON CAMPUS

The Information Desk at the Charlton Campus is on Level 1 of the Sister Mary Grace Wing. It is open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. weekends and holidays. You can call 905-522-1155 ext. 33221 to reach the Information Desk directly. After hours, dial “0” for the switchboard to access information.

KING CAMPUS

The Information Desk at the King Campus is located on Level 2 to the left of the main entrance doors. It is open 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Please call the automated attendant at 905-522-1155 and your call will be directed appropriately.

WEST 5TH CAMPUS

The Level 1 Welcome Centre is located closest to the Main Entrance in the Level 1 Atirum. The Level 1 Welcome Centre has signage and wayfinding information for visitors and staff.

The Level 0 Volunteer Desk is located in front of the Outpatient Entrance. 

Please call the automated attendant at 905-522-1155 and your call will be directed appropriately. 

Taxi Cabs

There are taxi telephones in the hallway at the front of the hospital by the Information Desk of each Campus. These telephones connect directly to taxi companies and are free of charge to use.

WEST 5TH CAMPUS

Taxi Phones are located at the Outpatient Entrance on Level 0. Taxi cabs will pick-up and drop-off in front of the Outpatient Entrance.

There are a number of hotels within the city of Hamilton that offer “Compassionate Rate” reduced nightly rates for family members and friends of patients at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Please contact our Spiritual Care department at 905-522-1155 ext. 33263 for a complete list of these hotels.
