Seniors Open House at St. Joe’s King Campus
St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s King Campus includes more than meets the eye. When going into the King Campus, one might only notice the Urgent Care Centre that is in fact a large part of the campus. However, there are many other programs that make up the rest of the King Campus. To engage our community we will be holding a Seniors Open House on Thursday June 26th. There will be tours that run every half-hour from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. which gives seniors and their loved ones the chance to check out what St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s King Campus has to offer.
Many of the programs at this campus are accessed by self-referral, meaning seniors are welcome to sign up for programs they are interested in and may benefit their overall health and wellbeing. To learn more about the event, please see this feature in The Hamilton Spectator.
One of the programs that is growing in popularity is the Stay Well Program that helps seniors four days a week with gentle exercises for anyone that likes to keep mobile, including seniors of all different physical capability. The program focuses on encouragement for older adults for motivation to stay in physical shape and keep moving, which in turn has positive health benefits
