Advances in science and rehabilitation are rapidly dissolving the artificial division between mind and body. The St Joseph's Mental Health & Addiction Program provides a continuum of services from primary care, through crisis and acute services, to highly specialized tertiary programs.
We have developed a comprehensive variety of clinics and outpatient services providing highly specialized care to hundreds of patients every year. In our emergency and crisis services highly trained teams of health care professionals are available around the clock to help patients and families deal with acute psychiatric emergencies. When hospitalization is needed there are ten inpatient programs providing comprehensive and flexible services. The goal in all of our programs is to provide the latest treatments with an emphasis on exemplary caring.
We know it is common for persons with mental illness to experience stigma and barriers to social integration. We are deeply committed to eradicating stigma and to promoting the fullest recovery for every person.
