In consideration of all our patients, no more than two visitors can visit at any one time. Please remember to walk and speak quietly so as not to disturb other patients. Children younger than 12 may visit if they come with an adult. Please do not visit if you have an infection, cold or sore throat. Check with the nurse before bringing in any food, drink or candy.A special note to visitors to the Maternal-Child Centre:
Chicken pox and measles are potentially very dangerous to newborn babies and sick children. If you or any members of your family have chicken pox or the measles or have had chicken pox/measles within the last month, please call the Newborn Nursery at 522-1155 ext. 33237 before your visit.
Latex Balloon Ban
Out of concern for latex sensitive patients and staff, latex balloons are not permitted in the hospital. Please ask your friends and family to send balloons to your home rather than to the hospital. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.Outpatient Pharmacy

We compound prescriptions for creams, ointments, scalp lotions, eye drops, injections and oral liquid medications for children and adults.
We rent and sell hospital-grade electric breast milk pumps by Ameda-Egnall, and we have breastfeeding aids and manual breast pumps by Medela, in support of St. Joseph's designation as a Baby Friendly® Hospital.

Information regarding a patient's room assignment and telephone number can be obtained by calling the main hospital switchboard at 905-522-4941, or by asking at the Information Desk in the main lobby in the Sister Mary Grace Wing. Personal and/or information relating to a patient's medical condition is not available.

Parking – Charlton Campus
Visitor parking is available Monday through Sunday, in the Parking Garage behind the Fontbonne Building off James Street South. It is adjacent to the Outpatient Department. Drop off and pick up is permitted behind the Charlton Ave. building, entry beside the Emergency Department, again off James Street South.A Visitor Parkade is also available on Charlton Street in front of the Charlton Campus for visitors and patients accessing the Juravinski Innovation Tower.
Due to the short supply of parking spaces, patients are not permitted to leave their cars in hospital parking lots during their hospital stay. Immediate family members of patients who must be in the hospital for longer than two weeks may qualify for a discounted parking pass.
