Postpartum
Welcome to St. Joseph's Hospital's Obstetrical Unit.The obstetrical unit is located on the 3rd floor of the Bishop Dowling Wing. There are 3 levels of accommodation: ward, semi-private and private.

Single & Double Rooms
A single room which includes private bathroom and shower. Partners are allowed to stay overnight.
Each room has it's own bathroom. Some rooms have showers as well.
Family Lounge & Pantry
A place to go to receive with two or more visitors. It has a vending machine and a pay phone.
Juices and extra milk are supplied for our mothers, as well as bread for a snack.
Nursery Area
This area is located at the nursing station were babies can be brought for short periods while mothers' are taking care of their personal needs.
Procedures Room
Babies are initially assessed in this area and then room in with their mothers.
