Student Program

Students at all levels of education have the opportunity to experience the hospital environment, find out about specific careers, get experience working with patients, learn retail skills or meet some other personal goal

High school students must be interested in more that meeting mandatory service hours for graduation. Those hours may be completed while volunteering, but there has to be a true interest in providing service

Minimum age requirements:

• St. Joseph's Hospital, on Charlton, 15 years of age during the school year and 14 to volunteer in the summer
• King Campus, 16 years
• West 5th Campus, 18 years of age

We are looking for students who:

• Care about helping patients and visitors
• Want to use a few hours a week to make a difference
• Are interested in learning about healthcare careers

We would be happy to meet with you to help you decide if volunteering at one of our campuses is right for you whatever your goal.

The minimum number of hours required prior to asking for a reference or volunteer form to be signed is 50 hours.
