St. Joe's Baby Face Photo Wall

$175,000 raised for St. Joseph’s Healthcare

On June 22, 2010, the Teresa Cascioli Charitable Foundation and St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation introduced four more panels of the St. Joe's Baby Face Photo Wall, including an entire panel dedicated to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton.

In all, 99 new adorable little baby faces were unveiled during the ceremony, which took place at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton's Charlton campus. Recognition was also give to six corporate and community sponsors with the inclusion of their logos on the panels.

Since its birth in April 2008, the Baby Wall has reached another milestone – raising more than $175,000 to support programs and services at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.

Thanks for going the Extra Mile!

On Sunday, March 28 more than 10,000 walkers, runners, relayers, spectators and sponsors converged on Hamilton’s downtown core to take part in the 116^th Annual Around the Bay Road Race in support of St. Joseph’s Healthcare!

12th Annual Holiday Gala - An Arabian Night

Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 - St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation held their 12th Annual Holiday Gala at LIUNA Station, with Connie Smith returning as Master of Ceremonies.  A staggering $210,000 was raised to support compassionate and innovative patient care as well as ground-breaking advancements in medical research at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. 

The evening featured a live a silent auction, belly dancers and a raffel for a Rolex Watch.  Janice Locke (ticket number 266) was the winner of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Lady Datejust Watch valued at over $8,310!

2009 Annual Check-Up
THE HANDS AND HEARTS THAT HELP OUR HEALING MISSION
 

Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 – Dr. Dave Williams hosted St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation's Annual Check-Up, an event held each fall to celebrate and reflect on the many acts of generosity that we've experienced in the past year. 

Despite the economic uncertaintly, the healing hearts of our donors, friends, physicians, staff members and volunteers made sure that St. Joseph's Coninues to have the resources it needs to care for this community and well beyond.

2009 Lina DeSantis Memorial Golf Tournament

Last September, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation hosted the 8^th Annual Lina DeSantis Memorial Golf Tournament at the picturesque Glendale Golf & Country Club. A full roster of 144 golfers enjoyed 18 holes of unbelievable golf along with an evening of fine food and good company while helping to raise more than $80,000 to support patient care at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. 

2009 Foundation Golf Classic - In honour of Shirley Elford

The 2009 Foundation Golf Classic in honour of Shirley Elford held on Tuesday, June 11 was a great success, raising over $60,000. 

The funds raised support St. Joseph's Healthcare in its ongoing mission to provide care that transcends time while conducting healthcare research that's ahead of it's time.  On behalf of our Foundation and Hospital we'd like to thank our golf committee, friends and sponsors for their commitment and generous contributions to this tournament.

Next year marks the 25th Anniversary of this tournament. 

2009 Anne & Neil McArthur Award

St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and its Foundation are pleased to announce that Dr. Philip Halloran has been named the recipient of the 2009 Anne & Neil McArthur Award. Each year, this award (established in 2000 through a generous gift from Anne & Neil McArthur) honours an internationally renowned researcher whose area of study is also a focus of research at St. Joseph's.

The award was presented the evening of Thursday, April 23, 2009 at an event hosted in Hamilton’s historic LIUNA Station.
