This past holiday season, our Gift Wrapping Program at Lime Ridge Mall was a tremendous success! From morning to evening, for 24 days in a row, our volunteer elves spread holiday cheer by expertly wrapping thousands of gifts for holiday shoppers.
 
All proceeds support St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation.

Sera Filice-Armenio named President & CEO
Hamilton,ONJune 3, 2009Dean Mosca, Chair of the Board of Directors, is pleased to announce that (effective June 1, 2009) Sera Filice-Armenio has been appointed President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation. In this role Sera will provide leadership and direction to the organization’s diverse fundraising, donor relations and communications portfolio.

Sera joined St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation four years ago as Vice-President, Development. Prior to that, she held a series of increasingly senior roles in the alumni and development offices of McMaster University. Sera is an alumna of McMaster, graduating with a B.A., M.A. and an M.B.A. 

Sera grew up in Hamilton and has spent the past 17 years working with the community in educational and healthcare philanthropy.  When asked about her new role, she said
"I'm both honoured and excited about this oportunity to lead the Foundation.  We have a tremendous group of donors, friends, and volunteers supported by a truly dedicated board of directors and staff.  Together, we're making sure St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton will continue its legacy of providing exceptional care to this community while pursuing leading-edge research that will create a healthier future for all of us."

Famous Faces Join the St. Joe’s Baby Face Photo Wall!

Hamilton, ON - June 30, 2009 - Today at 10:00 a.m., Teresa Cascioli (former CEO of Lakeport Brewing, and a well-known St. Joe’s baby girl) will unveil another three panels of the St. Joe’s Baby Face Photo Wall…and this time there’ll be a few famous baby faces!
 
Celebrated Canadian actor and comedian Martin Short will appear on the wall. So will NBA referee and Hamilton entrepreneur Ron Foxcroft. “Stripes”, the Hamilton Tiger Cats’ mascot will make an appearance at the Hospital today, and on the wall, as will K-Lite FM morning show host and CHCH Television personality Matt Hayes! Hayes comments, “It’s pretty neat to join the baby wall. It just goes to show you how many of us started our lives here at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton!”
