Research Volunteer Inquiries
Volunteer positions in the research areas are generally not posted. You are advised to review the various research areas of interest on the St. Joseph's Healthcare website and then contact them directly. Under Faculty or Members the Principal Investigator (PI) is usually listed. Further contact information can be found on the McMaster University directory. You would then contact the Principal Investigator (write or e-mail) expressing your interest in being a volunteer.
If you do not see your area of interest then you may wish to contact the hospital switchboard - 905 522 1155 - for the applicable department's telephone extension and then contact them directly to determine if research is being performed that could potentially require volunteer assistance e.g. clinical areas, physiotherapy, nursing etc.
If you are successful in landing a volunteer research position at St. Joseph's Healthcare then you must be registered through the volunteer office.
