Our Executive Team
Dr. Anil Kapoor is Professor of Surgery (Urology) at McMaster University, and staff urologist at St. Joseph's Hospital Hamilton. He was the Urology Residency program director for 8 years having recently completed his term. He currently serves as the Medical Staff Association President and Director of the McMaster Institute of Urology at St. Joseph's Healthcare.
Dr. Rutledge is a staff Emergency Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and is the current Deputy Chief of Emergency Medicine. In addition, Dr. Rutledge has been the Program Director for the CCFP(EM) program at McMaster University for the past 6 years and is actively involved in all levels of medical education through Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Nina Ahuja has been a staff ophthalmologist in the SJHH Department of Eye Medicine and Surgery since 2003. She has held various administrative and leadership positions over the years and is currently a member of the Dovetale Physician Leadership Group. An Associate Clinical Professor in McMaster’s Division of Ophthalmology, Dr. Ahuja has been actively involved in residency education with a special interest in surgical education. She completed her successful term as Residency Program Director in 2015, and continues to be an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for ophthalmology.
Since the Fall of 1996, Jill has had the responsibility of providing administrative assistance to the Medical Staff Association at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. In this role, she has had the opportunity to provide administrative support to the Executive Committee whose mandate is to represent the best interests of the Medical Staff Association membership at SJHH.
Dr. Julie Lajoie is the past President of the Medical Staff Association at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. Dr. Lajoie is a staff anesthesiologist in the Department of Anesthesia at SJHH and Physician Lead within the Corporate Patient Flow Team. Dr. Lajoie is also an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Anesthesia at McMaster University where she teaches in the high fidelity simulator and actively participates in resident education.
